Q-How long will my make-up last?

A-Your make-up is intended to last from one to five years or longer. However, some medical conditions such as severe anemia, liver disease and some forms of cancer may cause it to fade more rapidly. Touch-ups are available at a reduced rate.

Q-Is the procedure safe?

A-Unlike having permanent cosmetics applied in the back room of a beauty parlor by an unlicensed individual, your procedure is being done in a medical facility by a Registered Nurse with more than twenty years experience in the operating room. Her professionalism, knowledge of proper sterilization techniques and topical anesthetics mean that you can rest assured that you have chosen wisely.

Q-Can everyone have permanent make-up applied?

A-This safe and effective procedure can be used by almost everyone. Occasionally, due to certain medical conditions, it is not advisable to have this done. During an initial consultation, a thorough medical history will be taken to ensure that the procedure is safe for you.

Q-Can I be allergic to the colors?

A-There has never been a true allergic reaction recorded as the result of using the colors we employ. This is because they are made of iron oxide, which is found in our own bodies. But we don't take any chances. A minimum of forty-eight hours before all procedures we perform a "patch test" behind one ear, which will warn us of any allergy.

Q-How much pain will I experience?

A-Your procedure will be performed by a Nurse* in a medical facility. That means a wide variety of anesthetics are available to ensure a virtually painless procedure.

Q-Will I have to lose work or look too awful to go outside until it heals?

A-Generally, any minor swelling that occurs is gone within a matter of hours. For the occasional procedure when discoloration or swelling remains, make-up can be used to camouflage it. Discomfort will not cause you to lose work either. Most people require no follow-up medication. Occasionally Tylenol is recommended. We offer evening and weekend appointments so that it won't be necessary to lose work time.

Q-How does the payment work?

A-Your initial consultation is always free. Payment is due at the first appointment and may be made using Visa, MasterCard, personal check or cash.
